Improving people’s health and wellbeing.

improving people's health and wellbeing

For the first time, all health and social care organisations in the borough have come together as one team to improve people’s health and wellbeing.

Called the Bury Integrated Care Partnership, this united group will deliver coordinated services, with the aim of supporting everyone to lead a healthy life and delivering the best coordinated care where it is needed.

Social workers, nurses, GPs, hospital staff, people who work for the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector, as well as independent patient champion Healthwatch, will work closer together than ever before, preventing poor health and improving life chances for people of all ages.

Our commissioners – the teams which buy the services – are also now part of this joined-up approach for the first time.

Bury’s ambition is to be one of the best boroughs in Britain in which to live, work and study and everyone who works as part of the Bury Integrated Care Partnership will play a major role in helping us achieve this.

What we do

The Partnership will see all health and social care organisations across the borough working closer together than ever before to improve services for you.

Nurses, social workers and the voluntary sector will look at new ways of supporting and treating patients at home or in the community, helping them to stay well and be happy.

The borough has been divided into five separate neighbourhood areas, with teams located inside each one to deliver the support which is needed in that particular area. Local GPs will support the work of the teams.
