Workforce standards (Good employment charter)

At BICP we are committed to making health and care a great place to work. We are working together to increase consistency of employment standards between employers in our sector using the GM Good Employment Charter as our foundation. We are striving to encourage as many health and care organisations as possible to commit to being a Supporter of the GM Good Employment Charter; showing their commitment to create workplaces where people can thrive. We’re doing this as we recognise that health and care is a significant employer within Bury and many of the people employed in health and care in Bury will also be Bury residents. By encouraging improvement in employment standards across the sector we can play a positive part in addressing broader health and care inequalities. By making health and care a great place to work we can also reduce attrition from the sector and by reducing inconsistencies between employers, reduce the impact of people moving around between employers for minimal personal gain.
